ANYONE SICK OF ALL THIS LOLITA STUFF YET? :XD:

The contest was to draw a lolita subject with the theme of art.

The version I submitted there has no bg, but I decided to whip one up to put on dA. (: The submission there also has three icons I made in case I win. :heart:
The lace border took a long time but I really like how it turned out. (though you can't see a lot of it against the brown, haha ;;; )

COPYPASTE DESCRIPTION:

A red kodona with a tablet (if you couldn't tell what it was, then I failed misterably, haha ;;;; ), and yellow sweetish lolita with a paintbrush, and a blue gothic lolita with our lovely standard pencil and eraser. (because real art pencils lack their own for some reason)
Aside from them all being the primary colours and weilding different art weapons, they also have different skin tones. :) (though the blue loli's skin was supposed to be darker; wtf photoshop lightening my skins when jaypegging [that sounds dirty, haha])

A bunch of little minor things bug the crap out of me, but all in all I think it's alright.
The Red looks aprehensive of the inevitable PENCIL SHANK that will take place to that Yellow for getting pride paint all over Blue's moitie. A BATTLE OF EPIC PROPORTIONS. FRILLS WILL FLY AND NO LACE WILL GO UNSCATHED.
Or something, hahaha.
(and before someone asks, Blue's dress isn't modeled after anything MMM specific; it's really just a dark blue dress with gold roses)

I personally think Yellow is the cutest, but I'm a diehard kodona fan so Red gets my love (AND IT'S SO SHINEY). Though so far everyone (aka: the two or three people I IM) has told me Blue is their fave, so I have no idea what to think now. These were all done separately, so I realize that kinda...shows. ;;;

I stopped using jaypegs forever ago, but once in awhile I take the risk for a smaller file size. I should never do that again, haha. ;;

hehe well I really like those cute characters. I like the hat and the striped socks of the red one. thats a nice tablet. I wish I had one. the yellow one is adorable too. I like her dress and her expression is adorable. the big paintbrush is nice too. hehe I can see some paint dripped over the blue one. her expression is adorable too. and I lie her dress. woot for big pencil. great job on them all. awesome pic ^^

Ahw cute; I like the blue lolita the best, however seeing the paint on her bow makes my Lolita senses tingle because if anyone stained one of my dresses I WOULD STRANGLE THEM AND THEIR FUTURE CHILDREN! D:< ... ... but it's still cute. I think I'd make the text a little more prominent because it gets a little lost in the background, being of a similar colour scheme and being such a skinny text, but drawing-wise it's criminally sweet.

THIS YES the text made me rage because of how thin it is. I need to seriously find better fonts because all the thicker ones I have are all grundgey and probably wouldn't work too well here, haha. And I'm trying to avoid using every colour mankind has invented in the crap I draw because I have a bad habit of doing that and then it's just one giant hot mess, which is why I opted for bg colours for the words.

I think I'll go edit it in a minute for better text, though adding the bg and all the other hooha was kinda just a last ditch effort so no one would have to suffer these three just being on a plain white background.

In a few seconds after the BURANDO DESTRUCTION sinks in for the gothloli, she's going to shove that pencil where the sun don't shine on the sweetloli.
Epic revenge.

I usually go to [link] for nice fonts. They have some really nice fancy-pants cutesy ones that are good for Loli stuffs.

Hahaha, there have been a few times where someone has spilled booze on my dress. Immediate punching ensues. Some might argue that you shouldn't wear a Lolita dress to parties but that's just crazy-talk. |D
